Who Am I....
The first thought of yours dear friend after reading the title would be- "Is it because of 25 year ignorance or a fleeting thought of a fickle mind". When i wanted to blog-I wanted to revisit the 25 years of my life before i could progress further.Maybe my friends can understand me better before digging on to my blogs. So the first blog is a tribute to all that made me.I want to make this introduction of mine little different.Lemme try.
As the quote goes, Opinions are like arse holes. Everyone has one.So any discerning voice to my thoughts/opinions:We can deliberate on them by toss of a coin.Heads i win-Tails you lose.
I am a 25 year old-as any IIT-IIM graduate would have guessed by now.I had spent 2 years practising for the perfect day at IIM.Unfortunately, practise never made me perfect and so i opted out of IIMs when my time came.I work for Vodafone.I do lots of analytics on time and money:How to spend the Time-the following weekend and how i spent the money the last. And i can safely bet that i dont have a clue about either one.
I love the guitar-I even own one.And i dream of playing the summer of 69 on my guitar. But as i said earlier:It is my dream. Right now i can play twinkle twinkle little star and Happy birthday to you on my guitar.Something better than nothing-Hurrah!!!Thats me-An optimist.
I love sports-Cricket/Football.I also play these sports.I am sure half of India plays cricket by now.And the other half are queueing to do commentary.(Read it as Navjot Sidhu effect-He did as a commentator what he could not achieve as a player-success).Also i applied to play for Tamil Nadu football team.I missed it by a whisker-Forgot the postage stamp on the application form. The application form was duly returned to me with a message:Kindly enclose a demand draft of Rs.101/- in the name of Head Postmaster,Srirangam Post office if you wish to indulge in any further correspondence with the address mentioned on the letter.I promptly decided to forego my footballing career.Rs.101 was too large a risk for a game of football.
I Love to talk. And that is probably the only good thing about me.I can talk on any topic below the sky and above the Eiffel tower endlessly.I love to read-Almost all web sites on which people above the age of 18 are allowed to have a discussion on.Oops i forgot to tell-I am a Tamil Brahmin. And I love the Egg Bhurji. However, i am a strict vegetarian and I do not intend to kill a life that has been created by the Almighty God.Technically i am right.Eggs are still born. I live at Pune alright. But as my collegues can vouch for it:I live on a high.
I have one pack abs. Most Indians have that.I am a big fan of Harsha Bhogle and Charu Sharma.Oops and Mandira Bedi.Oops also Mayanti Langer. Some day i would want to learn from these modern day greats how to speak endlessly about cricket without ever having touched Bat and Ball.I meant cricket Bat and cricket Ball.I pray when i am in trouble. And when i am a neck deep shit:I offer bribe to the Hanuman temple at Tiruchirapalli.108 vadas to Lord Hanuman made from sundrop refined oil.I am particular about the brand of oil.Lord hanuman loves them.So do I.
I did my schooling at Tiruchy.Am grateful to all dogs/cows/buffalos of the place for inspiring me be lazier if not laziest.I would also like to add some of my teachers who were my role models.Like my english professor Mr.Chandran who had this amazing ability to leap across benches in Pursuit of a sleeping student.Sir-I owe my english to you. Also, my daredevilry. My sanskrit professor-who had taught me more words outside the syllabus(In fact outside the language Sanskrit) than within. It really helped navigating conductors and bus drivers when i learnt these words.
I spent some time at Madurai.I was supposedly doing my engineering there. But thankfully i never took it too seriously like my closest friends-Prathyusha and Sriram.Half knowledge is a dangerous thing. But zero knowledge is a disastorous thing.A special note of thanks to Prof.Babulal.This esteemed gentlemen taught me how to screw someone.Obviously he screwed my happiness.
TCS taught me how to do nothing and still wait shamelessly for the 26th of every month expecting salary to be credited into your account. And to download all songs from the internet by passing all firewalls.
Symbiosis taught me-How to cut, copy, paste. How to make good presentations. How to answer any question without knowing the answer to that(Some people claim i had that skill from the time of my birth.Claims to be verified yet).
And now am at Vodafone. Also am currently on the look out for friends who can help me apportion my time during the weekends-Basically help me pass time. I hope i have given an elaborate description about myself-the king of my world.I welcome all interested people into the world of my blogs(Tall claim for someone writing his first blog-I agree).Any error/omission/deletion is entirely a figment of your imagination.Any criticism of the blog is welcome(On a one to one basis). However, kindly help me constructively-writing crazier things by giving a positive feedback on the public forum.Good day.
